It means that inexpensive Internet and telephonic technologies, coupled with more open national trade policies, have forever flattened national economic boundaries, creating one global market.
Some fear globalism, thinking that America should be self-sufficient and indifferent to world markets. Some fear dealing with China and India, thinking they?e still backward and untrustworthy countries. Xenophobia adds to such perceptions.
Some Americans resent foreign nations due to offshore outsourcing, viewed as moving "good paying American jobs?to other countries.
However, globalism is a done deal. To me, globalism combined with self employment is "the real deal."
Hysterical calls for protectionism will do nothing to change this. The hollow rhetoric of bombastic politicians will not change anything. Globalism already happened. It? here to stay. Let's get on with it.
It? our view that globalism provides Americans and people from most other nations with the best possibility to prosper ever experienced in all of human history for these reasons:
First, you can sell your products and services worldwide on the Internet using e-commerce methods.
Non-USA markets are huge--too huge to ignore and bigger than the USA market.
Second, you can save money by buying foreign made products of good quality. One source demonstrated that inexpensive Chinese manufacturing saves the average American family $500 per year on retail purchases.
Third, some foreign investment markets provide much faster rates of growth than Wall Street. Of course, in all investments, you must get all the facts in advance and buy and sell your holdings on a timely basis.
We are not investment advisors, but international investing is something you should explore.
Enter the brave new world of globalism and self-employment now. You?l prosper.
